Video Games
Growing up, my favorite video game console has been the Nintendo 64; that one in particular is my childhood console and my most played one. My other favorite video game consoles have been the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Sega Genesis, PlayStation 2, PlayStation, Nintendo GameCube, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo Switch, XBox 360, XBox, GameBoy Color, GameBoy Advanced, GameBoy Advanced SP, and Nintendo DS.
Growing up, my favorite video game series have been Super Smash Bros., Super Mario, Pokemon, The Legend of Zelda, Star Fox, Donkey Kong Country, Metroid, Kirby, Sonic the Hedgehog, Shinobi, Final Fantasy, Shovel Knight, Doom, Halo, Soul Calibur, Dragon Ball Z Budokai Series, and Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi Series.
These are pictures of my most favorite games that I have a lot of nostalgia for. For Final Fantasy IX, I no longer have a physical copy of the game that released for the original PlayStation back in 2000, but I bought it from the PlayStation 5's PlayStation store. I play all my favorite NES games, SNES games, and Sega Genesis games respectively on the NES Classic, SNES Classic, and Sega Genesis Classic. I play all my favorite Nintendo 64 games that I still have physical copies on from time to time. For Nintendo 64 games I never got physical copies of, I have played them a lot on a Project 64 emulator.
I also got a Pac-Man Plug & Play system that I spent many hours playing. I got it back around the 2006 holidays.
The first video game I ever played was Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Sega Genesis and the first console I ever owned was the Nintendo 64 which I still own to this day. The first 3D Mario game I played was Super Mario 64, and the first 2D Mario game I played was Super Mario World for the Game Boy Advanced; I played the Game Boy Advanced version before I played the Super Nintendo version. The first Pokemon game I ever played was Pokemon Blue, I played it on a Game boy console and then a Game Boy Color. My most played video games in history have got to be the Super Smash Bros. games, Star Fox 64, The Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64, Super Mario World, and the classic Pokemon games; anything from the first three generations from Pokemon. Playing more favorite games over the years has helped improve my abilities as a gamer and the ideals that come from these creative IP's has had great influence on me as well as being greatly inspiring to me.
I value my time being a console gamer, as well as being a PC gamer and an emulation gamer; yes, I appreciate emulation because emulators helped me experience a lot of classic games I never got to as a kid. Also, being an emulation gamer is a great way for me to stick it to these corporations that are involved in the video game industry today as well as sticking it to online sellers who make it difficult to get classic consoles at a new condition as well as classic games at a new condition for a fair and reasonable price. In my opinion, nothing beats the console experience, but given the circumstances of the video game industry today, if I have to resort to emulation gaming, I will. While I am not going around openly endorsing pirating games today, I completely understand it; not only that, but also I encourage those that pirate games to keep doing what they are doing and never stop; don't let these big corporations intimidate. It's time for the voices of regular down to earth people be heard such as regular middle class gamers.
My favorite video game memories are playing the Nintendo 64 for many years, I also played the Sega Genesis for several years with my older brother Billy and that's also been one of my favorite video game memories. We enjoyed playing the arcade style games, the fun and immersive side scrolling games, and collecting Sega Genesis cartridges. Also, one of my favorite video game memories is playing Minecraft with my younger brother Arthur. Also, one of my favorite video game memories is when our father played video games with us when we had the PlayStation 2 for the first time around the time it released. He usually doesn't play video games at all because he is always busy working, but I remember when he played the PlayStation 2 with us when we played games like FIFA soccer and a pool game for the PlayStation 2. Also, one of my favorite memories is my mother always found it funny when the openings for the Sonic games we played for the Sega Genesis shouted "SEGA!" and I also remember during the Pokemon mania era when we were into Pokemon games, watching the anime, and collecting the cards, my parents sometimes mispronounced "Pokemon" as "Pokeman" and I thought that was pretty funny.
Star Fox 64
As I loved playing the Nintendo 64 growing up, Star Fox 64 has always been one of my most favorite games ever, it is also one of my most played Nintendo 64 games along with The Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64, Super Smash Bros., and Pokemon Stadium. Here are the high scores I got in Star Fox 64.
Tetris
Gameplay video of me playing Tetris. First recorded 5/7/2023. I recorded the gameplay with an NES emulator and used an iPhone to record the emulator recorded gameplay.
Super Mario World
Super Mario World to this day remains one of my favorite video games of all time. It's the first Super Nintendo game I played along with Donkey Kong Country. I first beat the game when I was 10 years old back in 2004 and it was the GBA version I beat first before beating the Super Nintendo version several years after. I loved the cape power-up and using blue Yoshi a lot.
